Echo Entertainment Group have begun construction today on a $345 million investment to build an additional Jupiters hotel and completely refurbish the entire Jupiters complex.
The new six-star hotel tower is set to be 17-storeys high and is anticipated to be completed early 2018, providing an additional 70 luxury suites to the Jupiters complex.
Annastacia Palaszczuk, Queensland Premier, praised the landmark investment as a beacon of confidence and a powerful commitment to the future prosperity of the Gold Coast.
“This new hotel will add enormously to the Gold Coast’s stock of six-star accommodation, further enhancing the city’s reputation as an international destination for all sectors of the market, including the premium tourist,” Palaszczuk said.
Work on the project is expected to deliver 1,700 jobs within Queensland and provide accommodation and support during the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Matt Bekier, CEO of Echo Entertainment Group, said the project was a celebration of the Gold Coast.

John O’Neill, Group Chairman, said Jupiters was committed to assisting the exciting transformation of the Gold Coast.
